Women in Leadership Resources

The Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, Evangel University, fully supports the ministries and leadership of women consistent with our interpretation of Scripture and our denominational position paper Assemblies of God (USA) Official Web Site | The Role of Women in Ministry.

To affirm their united support of women in ministry and leadership, AGTS’ Bible and Theology Department graduate faculty members held a special extended chapel service to individually articulate the basis of their advocacy from their respective academic disciplines.

In response to student requests, the BTH Department also voted to offer a Biblical Theology of Women in Leadership class every other spring open to all students (not just the DMin Women in Leadership cohorts, as in the past: PTH 903 / BTH 550), so that master-level (BTH 640), doctoral, and even undergraduate students (THEO 473) could participate and so that male, as well as female students, could enroll.

The Hyllberg Room

On Friday, October 5, 2017, during Homecoming, the “Hyllberg Collection on Women in Ministry and Leadership” was dedicated with a lecture on “The Future of Female Leaders in the Assemblies of God,” a reception, and tours of the room in the library (232 C). Here are links to the PPT and video.
