AGTS News—Alum unites others in fight against human trafficking

Dr. Cheryl Taylor

LaDawn Rance (M.A. 2010), AG missionary with previous service in Costa Rica and Dominican Republic, is the administrative coordinator of the Nurture Hope Network (NHN) in Springfield, Mo.

Nurture Hope is designed to bring together missionaries, pastors and churches who want to respond to the global issue of human trafficking, which, tragically, effects many women and children in our own American backyards.

Because those who want to address human trafficking need to be well informed, well connected and committed to working together, the NHN website is designed to be a staging ground for resources, methods, concepts, brainstorming and the sharing of ideas. "The more we work together," said Rance, "the greater impact we can have in the lives of those whom we serve."

Read about other alumni who are leading the fight against human trafficking in the Winter 2012 issue of Rapport magazine. Check out Project Rescue, led by alums David (M.A. 1978) and Beth (M.A. 1979) Grant.
