"...the harvest is plentiful..."
Who will cast the vision for a new generation of Pentecostal
missionaries? Who will study the times and plot the strategies,
teach the students and write the books that will shape the
hearts and minds of tomorrow’s missionaries? The AGTS Doctor
of of Applied Intercultural Studies Program (DAIS) has risen to serve these leaders by:
- Enhancing missionary practice and resources
- Preparing participants to teach missiology at any level
- Building foundations for training missionaries overseas
- Equipping leaders for compassion ministries
The DAIS at AGTS offers tracks in Intercultural Studies (IS)
and Relief and Development (RD).
L. John Bueno, former executive director of Assemblies of God World
Missions, had this to say about the Doctor of Applied Intercultural Studies Program:
“I recently received the wonderful news that AGTS has
a new program for a doctorate in applied intercultural studies. I want to recommend
it highly to anyone who is serving in ministry overseas.
I believe this is another great instrument God is giving us in
the preparation of our leadership throughout the world. I personally
appreciate anything that can be done to assist this process and
to make it available to all interested servants of the Lord.
The program enjoys our full approval and strongest recommendation.”
Zollie L. Smith Jr., executive director of Assemblies of God US Missions, added his endorsement to the program:
of Applied Intercultural Studies Program provides a valuable dimension to the superior training AGTS offers the present and future leadership of our Movement. The training philosophies and techniques utilized by AGTS equip leaders with the relational tools necessary to bridge gaps through effective cultural communication and compassion ministries across America. I wholeheartedly recommend this program as a vehicle that meets the unique ministry needs of millions of people in America and will bring them to reconciliation with God for His glory."
