Message from the President

The 21st century has been marked by increased worldwide violence, uncertain economies and unprecedented change. The full impact of globalization is increasingly felt and signals daunting changes for us all. But for the church empowered and led by the Spirit, the words of Jehovah God recorded by the prophet Isaiah give confidence to our hope.

“I revealed myself to those who did not ask for me; I was found by those who did not seek me. To a nation that did not call on my name, I said, Here am I, here am I.” (Isaiah 65:1, NIV)

Knowledge on Fire has become a key descriptor of the learning experiences you will encounter here at AGTS. We believe that a sharp mind, challenged by thorough theological studies, is the right partner for a passionate heart that hungers after God and relies on Holy Spirit empowerment.

We seek to foster a healthy connection between what we call the core and the edge. The core is found in the study of the Word that reveals to us a redeeming God. The edge is experienced as we obediently follow Jesus, empowered by the Spirit, to impact a needy world with a redemptive message of transformation.

Knowledge on Fire at AGTS is built on an unshakable gospel core that drives us to the edges of a needy world with biblical answers and empowered ministry that yields a global impact.

Byron D. Klaus, D.Min.
President
