The Society for Pentecostal Studies (SPS) honoredGary B. McGee, distinguished professor of church history and Pentecostal studies, with its Lifetime Achievement Award in March.

McGee is recognized broadly for his scholarly contributions to Pentecostal studies. A prolific author, he is a frequent lecturer with the Overseas Ministries Study Center at Yale University and is an associate editor for the International Bulletin of Missionary Research.

In addition, McGee recently was elected as an officer in the American Missiological Society.

Dr. Deborah Gill (M.Div. 1979) led 27 AGTS students on a three-week study tour of Israel in May.

Dr. George Wood, AGTS Board of Directors (BOD) chair, and the AGTS BOD secured funding to provide each student with a $1500 scholarship toward the cost of the first of these annual events.
