AGTS has been the recipient of bequests, both large and small, from our alumni and friends over the years. These donors utilized their capital during their lifetimes but found it possible to make a gift that would perpetually associate them with the mission of AGTS. These bequests, no matter how modest, have been welcomed and are important to AGTS. If you would like us to provide a sample of bequest language, please call
The Cordas C. Burnett Center for Biblical Preaching has been established to champion the centrality of biblical preaching in the AG. Named in honor of
Dr. Cordas C. Burnett (above right), the first executive vice president of AGTS, this initiative will be foundational to the seminary’s deep commitment to the training of capable biblical preachers.
Dr. Burnett’s preaching ministry modeled the finest integration of biblical foundations and Spirit- empowered passion.
We are grateful to Robert and Barbara (eldest daughter of Cordas C. Burnett) Hughes of Hurst, Texas, for the significant gift that will initiate the work of the Burnett Center.

During the final months of 2006, AGTS received six significant contributions totaling $220,000, including $150,000 designated for student scholarship endowments.
These investments in the future of AGTS come from individuals, churches and charitable foundations.
In another effort, AGTS faculty and staff partnered to establish a student scholarship endowment that has grown to nearly $40,000. We are grateful for the generosity of these faithful donors who are helping to make endowed scholarships at AGTS a reality. If
you are seeking a way to
honor the memory of a loved one, why not consider establishing an endowed scholarship in his or her name at AGTS? For details, call
