Heroes of the Faith
Continuing the Legacy
Lay leaders being honored have been nominated by the president and approved by the Board of Directors for their service in professional and public settings and to the church merits recognition as an example of Spirit-filled life and have committed to partner with AGTS by endowing a scholarship or contributing to a specific campaign or fund with a gift of $25,000 or more.
These honorees are acknowledged prominently on a wall in the Great Hall at AGTS.

J. Howard Railey

J. Howard Railey was a life insurance salesman with Franklin Life Insurance Company and owned his own life insurance agency in Panama City, Florida. He served in several leadership roles in the Optimist Club at local and state levels. He served on three Panama City church boards, taught an adult men’s Bible class, served as Sunday School Superintendent and on the Lay Council for Southeastern College of the Assemblies of God.
