News: AGTS Director of Library Services Joe Marics to retire after a lifetime of service to seminary
Joe Marics ('80), AGTS director of library services at the Cordas C. Burnett Library, will retire as of December 17, 2015 after nearly 30 years of service as director. AGTS has been the beneficiary of his exceptional leadership and development of the library services and holdings.
After earning the BS in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Arizona in 1966 and doing graduate work in nuclear engineering there from 1966 to 1969, Joe came to what was then the Assemblies of God Graduate School to pursue the MDiv in 1976. During his time as a full-time student at AGGS he worked as a research and clerical assistant for the Theology Division and as circulation and technical services assistant in the library. After earning the MDiv in 1980, he continued his service as an adjunct professor, teaching first and second year Greek and Theological Research Methods from 1980 to 1983; serving the library as readers' service coordinator from 1980 to 1986; and leading the library as director from 1986 to the present. He earned the MLS from the University of Missouri in 1989.
