AGTS News: AGTS releases book of reflective commentary by President Byron D. Klaus

Book_CoverThe Assemblies of God Theological Seminary (AGTS) has released its third book in the Encounter: The Pentecostal Ministry Series—a collection of reflective commentary on contemporary issues entitled And That's the Way I See It! by AGTS President Byron D. Klaus.

In the foreword to this book, Dr. Brian C. Stiller, global ambassador with the World Evangelical Alliance and president emeritus of Tyndale University College & Seminary, said, "I recall reading Byron's first Prez Release in 1999. He startled me with his boldness to speak about matters too often left alone by those of us who lead church and denominational agencies. He amazed me with his clarity on issues befuddled by politics, regional bias, and religious ignorance."

And That's the Way I See It! reflects serious thinking about critical issues that have emerged over the last fourteen years. These commentaries offer insights that take culture seriously and the Bible authoritatively. They have been delivered electronically to thousands of friends of AGTS, printed as op-ed pieces for the Springfield News-Leader and aired as hundreds of radio commentaries. This volume represents the first printed format of these varied efforts.

Byron D. Klaus has served as president of AGTS since July 1999. Previous to assuming his current position, he provided pastoral leadership for local churches in California, Texas and Illinois, served as vice president of Latin America ChildCare, and served on the faculty and administration of Vanguard University of Southern California. He earned his doctor of ministry degree from Fuller Theological Seminary.

And That's the Way I See It! is available at agts.edu/link/encounter3.
