There are several steps necessary to receive tuition assistance (TA) from the state of Missouri.

1. The state of Missouri is processing tuition assistance on virtual armory line. 
   
   • Some notes which will be helpful during the input of your data.
     • IMPORTANT :   Tuition Assistance received counts against your maximum allowable financial aid – student loan – For example, if you plan to take out $18,500 in student loans – and you receive $4500 of Tuition Assistance, You will only be able to take out $14,000 in student loans.
     • Full amount of tuition for that course (SU-05:   $335 per credit hour; FA-05: $356 per credit hour)
     • If the start and end date of the class is different, you will need to do a separate electronic submission for each class with different dates.
     • On one submission per semester, you can include your Tech Fee:   (SU-05:   $100; FA-05:   $125) and a Student Services Fee:   (SU-05:   $75; FA-05:   $100)
     • The Missouri National Guard currently covers $250 per credit hour.
     • MONG students can only receive up to a maximum of $4500 per military fiscal year from 1 October to 31 September.
     • Note: In the Fall, if you will reach your maximum, students can draw TA benefits after 1 October by registering for modules, extension courses, directed research, or other courses that begin after 1 October.
     • Requests for Tuition Assistance must be submitted prior to the beginning date of the class; otherwise TA will not be awarded.*

       * This is important for students who want to register for classes at the start of the academic year. We must submit requests for tuition assistance prior to the beginning of classes.

• Select the "Online Applications" option on the left menu.
• Either login or register to login.
• Navigate through to process your online application for tuition assistance.
2. For AGTS verification of your TA to the state and AGTS financial aid department, please notify the veterans representative (varep@agts.edu) of your intent to utilize Tuition Assistance.  
   
3. Once the Missouri National Guard has approved your tuition assistance, AGTS should receive a letter requesting an invoice. Once AGTS receives the request for invoice, we will process and send the invoice. Funds are usually awarded near the end or after the end of the semester.
