About The Center for Islamic Studies

AGTS collaborates with Global Initiative: Reaching Muslim Peoples, a specialized ministry of Assemblies of God World Missions, to offer this cutting-edge program.

Global Initiative's mission is to equip the church to reach Muslims and to mobilize church-planting teams among Muslim peoples.

The Center for Islamic Studies at AGTS:

• Staffs an on-campus office to advise and counsel students who feel called to prepare for ministry to Muslims
  
• Encourages students to pursue a 12-credit Islamic concentration in their degree programs
  
• Inspires and challenges students to pray for and reach out to Muslims
  
• Provides experienced faculty to teach the following Islam-related courses:
  
  • Engaging Islam*
  • Church Planting in Muslim Contexts*
  • Christian-Muslim Theological Issues*
  • Approaches to Muslims
  • Folk Islam and Power Encounter
  • Islam in the United States
  • Women in Islam
  • Practicum in Muslim Ministry
