Requirements
Resident Master's Programs
To be admitted, you must meet these requirements:
- be a dedicated, born-again believer
- be capable of rigorous academic discipline
- be emotionally suited for Christian service
- hold a four-year bachelor's degree or its equivalent from an acceptable
college
- have earned a GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (lower GPA's may be
considered for admission on academic probation) (3.0 GPA for counseling licensure track)
- Application
- Official certified transcripts (not student copy) from all post secondary institutions attended, with degree(s) posted.
- $75 application fee
- Ministerial Recommendation Form
- Academic Recommendation Form
- A brief autobiography (1-2 pages) with ministerial and vocational goals

Continuing Education Master's Programs
To be admitted, you must meet these requirements:
- be a dedicated, born-again believer
- be capable of rigorous academic discipline
- be emotionally suited for Christian service
- hold a four-year bachelor's degree or its equivalent from an acceptable college (a limited number of mature applicants may be accepted without a bachelor's degree)
- have earned a GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (lower GPA's may be considered for admission on academic probation
- Application

- Ministerial and personal recommendation forms
- A brief autobiography (1-2 pages) with ministerial and vocational goals

Non-Degree Seeking
To be admitted, you must meet these requirements:

- hold a four-year bachelor's degree or its equivalent from an acceptable college (a limited number of mature applicants may be accepted without a bachelor's degree)
- have earned a GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (lower GPA's may be considered for admission on academic probation
- Non-degree seeking application

Doctor of Ministry Program
There are four basic criteria that define eligibility for the
program:
- Degree: an accredited M.Div. or its equivalent
(72 accredited graduate hours within certain broad distribution
requirements).
- Grades: a minimum cumulative GPA in accredited
graduate study of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Experience: at least three
years of full-time ministry following completion of the first
professional master’s degree
- Vocation: currently involved in full-time
ministry context (e.g., pastor, missionary, teacher, denominational
or para-church leader, chaplain, evangelist, counselor, etc.)
Doctor of Missiology Program
There are four basic criteria that define eligibility for the
program:
- Degree: an accredited M.Div. or its equivalent
(72 accredited graduate hours within certain broad distribution
requirements).
- Grades: a minimum cumulative GPA in accredited
graduate study of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Experience: at least three
years of full-time ministry following completion of the first
professional master’s degree
- Vocation: currently involved in full-time
ministry context (e.g., pastor, missionary, teacher, denominational
or para-church leader, chaplain, evangelist, counselor, etc.)
Intercultural Doctoral Studies
- Academic: An M.A. in an appropriate theological or missiological discipline from an acceptable school with a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
- Experience: Not less than two years of appropriate intercultural ministry experience.
- English: For applicants whose primary language is other than English, a TOEFL score of 585 or equivalent.
- Writing: Submission and approval of a writing sample that demonstrates graduate-level research skills.
- Language: Second language proficiency. The program requires research proficiency in English as the primary research language of the disciplines of intercultural studies and a second modern language in the field of the research topic. Additional ancient and modern languages may be required as needed for the completion of dissertation research. In exceptional cases, the second modern language requirement may be substituted by petition. When a request for language waiver is submitted, the Committee may require six credits of relevant studies in the applicant’s area of research. This will be implemented at the discretion of the Committee in a case-by-case situation based on transcripts and experience.
- Endorsement: Official approval of administrative superiors (e.g., missions board or agency if applicable).
- Technology: Acceptable computer and internet competencies.
These are the minimal requirements. The Admissions Committee selects applicants with the strongest qualifications. Candidates who only meet minimal requirements in some areas but are exceptional in others may be accepted. The overall combination of strengths that the applicant brings to the program is assessed in the admissions process.
Certificate Program

Readmission
